Story

Dear Friends, Last April we lost Nic Towers- a father, a husband, a friend and an avid sailor. Sailing was Nic’s passion- he spent many weekends on his boat Zest with his family and friends; he strongly believed that it was always ‘better a bad day on the water than a good day in the office’. Nic was a supporter of the RNLI during his life and so the family chose to support them in his memory. 2011 was a tough year- friends and family were an immense support however the RNLI also helped us through our darker days with continued messages of support and the invitation for the family to attend a memorial service this April. The RNLI is an independent charity and does not receive any funding from the UK government- without public support they would not be able to save lives and support people like us in the darkest of times. On 12th May 2012, Jen, Hannah, Nicole, Tanja and Vicky (team ‘Towering On’) are taking part in the London 2 Brighton challenge- a NON-STOP 100km walk. With your help we need to raise £1,875 by the 12th May. The money raised from the London 2 Brighton Challenge will go directly to the RNLI. This charity is close to our hearts and we know Nic would want nothing more than to see a good cause like the RNLI make a difference to more people’s lives. We know what an impact this charity can have on people’s lives and know how much they support people through challenging times- both physically and mentally. So please, donate as much as you can afford to this worthy cause and know you are making a world of difference. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Love, Team ‘Towering On’ X
